My Room at the Chelsea Hotel - This painting hung in the lobby for a month or so. Knox Martin of The Art Students League helped me place the bed - that is Chinese perspective in case you didn't know! The cast iron sunflowers were on my balcony overlooking 23rd Street. Always wondered who had occupied this room over the many years before I lived there. Charlie Chaplin's granddaughter lived down the hall and I had Thanksgiving with a very old French woman [about my current age!] who had painted with and swam with Picasso back in the day.
